This has been my “WTF face” all week, but real This has been my “WTF face” all week, but really since the 2016 presidential election. I have tried to stay quiet in the interest of not offending anyone, but I can’t anymore. This isn’t “politics” - it’s our livelihood. It fucking matters! And, ignorance is not bliss! My goal moving forward is to create awareness, provide educational resources and empower us all to really understand what these policies mean and then formulate our own opinions. I don’t know or understand everything myself. And, let’s be honest - some of it is intentionally written to confuse us, so that we don’t understand it. And, that is not fair! So let’s learn together. Send me resources, let’s have healthy and respectful dialogue, all the things. I truly operate from a place of love and kindness and what I see out there right now breaks my heart. The amount of greed, selfishness and entitlement is sickening. With that being said, I’m here as a safe space for anyone who needs to vent, cry, scream, sit in silence - I got you 🫶🏻 I’d also be willing to have small support groups for us to express how we feel and be there for each other. There’s power in numbers - as we have ironically seen. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk 😅

I still have this shirt and rock it every chance I get 😌 Today, October 3, we observe Latina Equal Pay Day. Latinas are one of the fastest growing, most powerful groups in the United States. Yet, for the first time in 20 years, the wage gap has widened for Latina workers 😧 Latinas excel in every sector and industry in our country. Despite all of this, in 2023, Latinas continued to face the pay gap. For full-time, year-round workers, the wage gap is 58 cents for every dollar paid to white, non-Hispanic men. This means, on average, that Latina workers stand to lose more than $1.2 million over the course of a 40-year career due to the wage gap 😨 This disparity is a clear reflection of the economic hurdles Latinas continue to encounter. And, because of this we have to work 3 or more times harder and to be honest, it’s exhausting 😵‍💫 Let’s continue to bring awareness and advocate for ourselves 😏 Si se puede! #LatinaEqualPayDay #ShutUpAndPayMe #PayMeLikeAWhiteMan
